Our work is inspired by Glasgow’s patron St. Mungo.

In a famous sermon he said:

“Lord, let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of Your word and the praising of Your name.”

So what are we all about you ask? It’s simple really. Fueled by this motto and with the aid of copious amounts of tea cakes, choons, banter and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the RCAG Youth Office aims to lead young people to encounter Christ through the Sacraments, the Church and each other. Together we journey in the adventure of living a life with Christ, and living it to the max!

“I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.”

John 10:10

Mairi-Claire (a.k.a MC)

Youth Office Coordinator / Not a Former Pop Star

Greetings to the big wide world from MC Hammer! Many people wondered where I went after my lucrative music career in the 90’s but little did they know I became a coordinator extraordinaire, changed my name to Mairi-Claire, and joined the RCAG Youth team to help spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to the young people of the Archdiocese of Glasgow – I also developed a habit of exaggerating my backstory.

Youth Officer / Jimmy Neutron

As a child, I aspired to be the next Jimmy Neutron and with my physics degree I’m half way there, but let’s face it…I’ve got better hair! I became interested in faith during my time in university where I studied physics and have a particular interest in the topic of 'science and religion'. When I’m not in the youth office I can be found in a skatepark, backflipping off hay-bales or in my room watching Lord of the Rings!

“It was through RCAG Youth that I realised the greatness of God and the love he has for all. Taking part in retreats that RCAG run has been an amazing way for me to really connect with my faith and look closer at what the church teaches.”
